Every Boundary oil pump gear set begins with heat-treated chromoly billets machined on state-of-the-art CNC equipment entirely in-house at their American facilities. The result is what Boundary calls a mirror finish gear surface, which reduces friction and promotes consistent oil flow from the very first startup. Each assembled pump undergoes a rigorous build process that includes ultrasonic cleaning, hand deburring of the housing (to reduce turbulence and increase flow), and anaerobic sealant applied to critical areas to accelerate prime-up speed and reduce aeration on cold starts. Every pump ships with a blueprinting verification sheet — a signed and dated document that records the specific clearances and processes used in your individual unit.
Staged Upgrade Options for Every Build Level
Boundary structures their oil pump lineup in stages so builders can match the upgrade level to their actual needs. Stage 1 assemblies replace the stock sintered gears with Boundary's upgraded billet gears inside the factory housing — the most direct, lowest-cost entry into the Boundary ecosystem. Stage 2 takes things further by machining a deeper pocket into the housing and fitting larger gears, increasing mid-range oil pressure and overall flow volume. Stage 3 adds an upgraded hardened steel relief valve sleeve to prevent the valve from sticking — a known failure point on stock relief valves that can cause sudden oil pressure drops. Boundary also offers billet back plates, engineered using advanced CFD simulation and 3D precision milling, for even further reduction in leakback and flow loss.
