Trident Marine 730-4000 Stainless Steel Constant Torque Hose Clamp 4" Nominal, 4.25" to 5.125" OD Range

The Trident Marine 730-4000 is a stainless steel constant torque hose clamp engineered to maintain a secure, leak-free seal even as hoses and fittings change size over time. Unlike conventional worm gear or T-bolt clamps, this constant torque design actively compensates for the two most common causes of clamp loosening in marine applications.

Virtually all rubber hoses compress (cold flow) after a clamp is installed, which can result in a torque loss exceeding 80% of the original installation torque. Additionally, metal fittings and exhaust components expand as a system heats up and contract as it cools. The 730-4000 addresses both problems through its unique worm gear Belleville spring washer assembly, which automatically adjusts clamp diameter to compensate for these changes — keeping the connection tight without re-tightening.

Key Features:

• Nominal Hose I.D.: 4"
• Hose O.D. Clamping Range: 4.25" to 5.125"
• Band Width: 5/8" (16mm)
• Band & Housing: 304 stainless steel
• Belleville Spring Washers & Screw: 410 stainless steel
• Recommended Torque Range: 50–120 in-lb (for sizes above 730-3000)
• Ideal for engine hoses, exhaust connections, and other marine applications subject to thermal cycling
• Part of the Trident Marine 730 Series — available in sizes from 3/8" to 18" nominal hose ID

The Trident Marine 730-4000 constant torque clamp is the preferred choice for demanding marine environments where connection integrity must be maintained through repeated heat cycles and long-term hose compression.
