Advanced Steering Technology: The Continuum steering algorithm represents decades of Norwegian autopilot engineering expertise, continuously analyzing rudder position and vessel movement to make intelligent steering corrections. This ensures smooth, efficient course-keeping in varying sea conditions.
Flexible Drive Compatibility: The NAC-2 works with multiple drive types including the Simrad RPU80 pump, SD10 mechanical drive, HLD350 hydraulic linear drive, and various solenoid valve systems. The standard 8-amp continuous output handles most installations on smaller vessels.
Simplified Installation: Virtual Rudder Feedback technology is particularly valuable for outboard and sterndrive applications where mechanical feedback installation is challenging. For inboard vessels or applications requiring physical feedback, the unit supports NMEA 2000® connected RF25 units and resistive feedback sensors. Industry-standard networking allows components to be located anywhere aboard with minimal wiring.
Note: This unit supports NMEA 2000® connectivity only; it does not support NMEA 0183 or RF300 feedback units.
