How They Work:

The ST1610 series features two nitrogen gas actuators per plate that automatically adjust to water pressure and boat speed. The tabs start in a downward position to maximize lift at slow speeds, helping minimize bow rise and allowing the boat to plane quickly. As speed increases and water pressure exceeds the actuator load rating, the plates move to a horizontal position to eliminate drag. Even while cruising, the tabs continuously adjust like shock absorbers, providing remarkable stability in turns, crossing waves, and at maximum speeds.
