The 3M Self-Stick Liquid Protection Fabric (36878) is a specially engineered, temporary surface protection material designed for industrial and automotive applications. Built on the technology behind 3M's well-known Dirt Trap products, this thin, lightweight fabric features a tough polymer barrier layer that blocks grease, grime, water, oils, solvents, and other industrial fluids from seeping through to the surface beneath.
Unlike basic paper or plastic sheeting, the polyester non-woven top surface is engineered to actively trap dirt, dust, debris, and overspray — stopping contaminants from spreading through your facility and causing costly rework. The material also provides light impact and abrasion resistance, making it suitable for areas where dropped hardware, metal shavings, or general shop traffic are common.
