The Dexter Axle 81169 is a complete replacement nut, washer, and cotter pin pack designed for trailer axle spindles. This hardware kit is typically used on 3500 lb. to 6000 lb. axles and is suitable for various trailer applications including recreational vehicles, utility trailers, and marine trailers.

Kit Includes:

  • 1 - 1"-14 12-slot castle nut (raw steel and oil coated)
  • 1 - 1" round flat washer (raw steel and oil coated)
  • 1 - 1/8" x 2" zinc plated cotter pin

The slotted hex castle nut features 12 slots cut into the top for secure insertion of the cotter pin, ensuring proper retention of wheel hub bearings on the spindle. The washer fits 1" threaded trailer spindles and provides proper load distribution. This hardware is used on many different brands of trailer applications for bearing and wheel hub to spindle assembly.

Installation Note: While rotating the hub, tighten the spindle nut to 18-22 inch pounds, which is slightly more than finger tight to ensure proper bearing adjustment.
