Product Details

Interlux Pre-Kote Plus is a one-part primer and undercoat designed for above-waterline marine applications. This versatile white primer combines substrate protection with an ultra-smooth finish, eliminating the need for separate primer and undercoat products.

Key Features:

  • One-part formula - no mixing required (must be stirred thoroughly before use)
  • Compatible with Interlux one-pack finishes and deck paints including Toplac Plus, Interdeck, Bilgekote, and Watertite
  • Applies directly to most substrates including properly prepared fiberglass, wood, and metal
  • Lower VOC formula with improved flow and leveling characteristics
  • Easy to sand between coats for optimal finish preparation
  • Matte finish provides excellent foundation for topcoats
  • Coverage: 440 square feet per gallon per coat

Application Guidelines:

  • Apply by brush, roller, or conventional spray
  • Recommended 2-4 coats depending on substrate and desired film thickness
  • Sand between applications for best results
  • Minimum application temperature: 41°F
  • For fiberglass: apply 1-2 coats; wood: 3-4 coats; steel/aluminum: 3-4 coats

Important: Upon opening, this product may appear solid or viscous. Pre-Kote Plus must be mixed thoroughly before use to achieve proper consistency. Once properly stirred, the product will flow and pour easily from the can. This product replaces the original Pre-Kote primer formula.
