The CDI Electronics 123-7878 is an Electronic Shift Assist (ESA) Module designed specifically for Johnson/Evinrude OMC stern drive engines equipped with Delco EST (Electronic Spark Timing) distributors. This module prevents engine stalling during gear shifts by maintaining proper engine RPM when transitioning between forward, neutral, and reverse.

This ESA module is compatible with OMC stern drive applications using the Delco EST distributor system. The module receives switched 12V power and monitors 6V tach pulses from the distributor to accurately measure engine speed and adjust timing during shift operations. Essential for smooth and reliable shifting performance on Johnson/Evinrude powered vessels.
