Product Details

The West System 105A Epoxy Resin is a clear, light amber, low-viscosity liquid epoxy resin specifically designed to wet out and bond with wood fiber, fiberglass, reinforcing fabrics, and a variety of metals. This Group Size A container holds 1 quart (4.3 pints) of resin and must be paired with an A-size container of West System hardener (205, 206, 207, or 209) sold separately.

  • Cures in a wide temperature range to form a high-strength solid bond with excellent moisture resistance
  • Formulated without volatile solvents, does not shrink after curing, and has a relatively high flash point with no strong solvent odor
  • Possesses excellent thin-film characteristics including superior flow out and the ability to self-level without fish-eyeing
  • Resin viscosity is approximately 1000 centipoise at 72°F (22°C)
  • Cures clear and can be easily sanded and shaped when altered with available additives
  • Mix ratio of 5:1 (resin to hardener) when using 205, 206, or 209 hardeners; 3:1 ratio when using 207 hardener

Multiple coats of 105 Epoxy Resin create a superior moisture barrier and a tough, stable base for paints and varnishes. When modified with West System fillers, 105 mixtures will bridge gaps and fill voids and can be sanded and shaped when cured. The resin must be mixed with a separately purchased West System hardener to cure properly. Choose from Fast (205), Slow (206), Special Clear (207), or Extra Slow (209) hardeners based on your temperature conditions and desired working time.
