Quicksilver Platinum Plus Gen II Throttle and Shift Cable

The Quicksilver Platinum Plus Gen II Throttle and Shift Cable is a genuine Mercury Marine/Quicksilver replacement control cable. It links a Gen II mechanical remote control to the engine's throttle or shift attachment point. Use it as a replacement throttle cable, shift cable or marine control cable for Mercury, Mariner and MerCruiser rigging that uses Gen II connections.

Key Features:

• Layered construction for smooth, durable operation
• Polypropylene outer jacket that resists UV exposure and abrasion
• 22 oil-tempered wires add compression strength and durability
• Lubricated core liner stays flexible and holds up in harsh marine environments
• Patented hexagonal shape keeps contact with the liner to a minimum
• Stainless steel core handles heavy compression loads and stays flexible in demanding installations
• All-weather performance down to below 0 degrees Fahrenheit
• Gen II end connections match the original Platinum Plus and earlier Premium Gen II cable style

Installation notes: Check the length and part number printed on your existing cable to choose the correct replacement. You can also measure the unobstructed cable route from the control to the engine attachment point. Replacement is straightforward with common hand tools. Remove the old cable and install the new one in reverse order. Control cables cannot be repaired, only replaced.

Platinum Plus cables are built for long service life and reliable shifting and throttle response on the water.
