Suburban Manufacturing has been a cornerstone of the RV industry for over 75 years. Suburban Mfg traces its roots back to 1947, when it began as the Hunt Heater Company, producing small gas space heaters in Dayton, Tennessee. A pivotal moment came when a customer asked whether one of Suburban's greenhouse heaters could be adapted to run on 12V for use in a motorhome — and the RV-focused legacy of the brand was born. Today, Suburban is headquartered in the same Dayton, Tennessee community it has called home for decades, operating out of a facility that spans more than 300,000 square feet.

In 1998, Suburban joined the Airxcel family of brands, which has grown into the leading designer, manufacturer, and distributor of critically functional products for the RV industry. That partnership gave Suburban the resources to continuously refine and expand its product line while maintaining the hands-on manufacturing quality that built its reputation. Suburban's engineers have pioneered a long list of RV industry firsts — from space-saving, horizontally vented gas heating systems and solid-state spark ignition technology to efficient DC furnace motors and glass-top ranges that double as counter space when not in use.

The brand is perhaps best known for its RV heating solutions, including a comprehensive range of ducted furnaces and wall heaters engineered specifically for the space constraints and power demands of motorhomes and travel trailers. Most of Suburban's product line is backed by a 2-year limited warranty, reflecting the brand's confidence in its own manufacturing standards. Each product goes through a rigorous series of quality and safety tests before leaving the Dayton facility — a commitment that has made Suburban a preferred OEM supplier for many of the largest RV manufacturers in North America.
