Quicksilver Platinum Plus Throttle and Shift Cable Generation I

The Quicksilver Platinum Plus Throttle and Shift Cable Generation I is a mechanical remote control cable. It links the helm's throttle and shift control box to the engine, so lever movements are carried to the engine's throttle and gear-shift mechanisms. It is designed for Mercury Generation I (Gen I) mechanical control systems. It works as either a throttle cable or a shift cable.

Key Features:

• Tough polypropylene outer jacket that resists UV and abrasion
• 22 oil-tempered wires for added compression strength and durability
• Lubricated core liner that holds up in harsh marine conditions and stays flexible
• Patented hexagonal shape that keeps contact with the liner to a minimum
• Stainless steel core built to handle heavy compression loads while staying flexible for difficult rigging
• Built for long life and performance in all weather, down to 0 degrees Fahrenheit

Platinum Plus cables replace the earlier Platinum cable series with the same performance. They suit replacement of worn or corroded control cables. Gen I and Gen II cables use different end connections and are not interchangeable. Each cable is available in a range of lengths.
